So here it goes, my first post, this is my little way of trying to keep my sis and family that lives out of state, a little more connected with my family.
Where to start...the boys are growing like weeds, okay maybe not like really fast growing weeds but an inch in four months is pretty good to me. Not being a very tall person, 5'5" standard I believe. I have high hopes for my boys maybe hitting the 5'7" inch mark. Their minds on the other hand, and their ability to solve problems, read and master the taking apart a toys with tools is outstanding.
Mason learned how to ride a "two-wheeled bike" he calls it, this weekend. He went up to Tyson and asked if he could please have his training wheels off, Tyson wanted proof that he was ready, so he asked him to ride Moses's bike. Mason picked up the bike, hopped on with his extra large hunting boots and took off, circling Tyson. So before I knew it, there they went up to the house to take the training wheels off of Mason's bike. What a big boy.

Moses was in the water just about all weekend, catching crawdads for our family reunion feast. He was so brave, and I have to say he managed to escape getting pinched. He is reading like a fool, can't believe that he will be in 1st grade in less than one month. I may sign him up to play soccer too.

The Farm-

I like to call it my farm, not like I have a hundred animals or anything but the few that I have tend to keep me very busy. So this is what I have accumulated so far (I will not mention the sows that are already in our freezer, sorry meg). Three adult chickens named Secret Agent, Ruby & Lucky. Secret Agent just turned broody about a month ago and hatched out a chick (surrogate mom) the chicks name is hulk. Hoping it's a she of course. Then we have two goats, Ready & Spinasouras, they believe that they are my best friends for life. But I'm tellin yah, if they jump on my back one more time, there goners. A goose named Lavern or Shirley, not sure which one was eaten by a raccoon? Five ducks, no official names, every time I ask the boys they change it on me, so I call them my Indian Runners, or you little damn Indians get over here (when it's bed time). I've lost 9 ducks in the last five months, damn raccoons, their so cute but evil.
Then there's my garden (pics coming soon). I have green beans, tomatoes, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, squash, strawberries & pumpkins. Please grow!
My adventures on the farm seem to be endless, just last week a swarm of wasps attacked the goat Ready & I, it was the pits, especially because I am terrified of them. I seem to swell up like the elephant woman, but thank goodness I did not get stung. My poor goat took the brunt of that one.
Ok so next time I post, updates will include fish in my new pond, my garden and any of the other unexpected fun.
